Outdoor Philosophy – challenging, inspiring and supporting!

21st century societies and lifestyles in the ‘developed’ world have immense effects on natural systems. We know this, but are all too easily swept into causing it, and protected from the consequences of it. The changes required to move societies towards environmental and social justice are complex and challenging. Outdoor Philosophy looks at this head on.

Outdoor Philosophy involves:

  • Clear, critical thinking about our relationship with – and impacts on – natural living ecosystems.
  • Closing the gap between abstract accounts of environmental problems, what they really mean, and our own responsibility for them.
  • Reconnecting wth the value of the natural world, and our relationships with it.
  • Inspiring and supporting personal and professional change and our potential for action.
