Living Lightly feature Outdoor Philosopy: Sea Kayak course

Living Lightly, the environmental good news magazine and its sister newspaper Positive News, are to feature the story of Outdoor Philosophy's first pilot course sea kayaking on the west coast of Scotland. The free quarterly productions give a heavy emphasis on educational initiatives as well as stories, news and reviews from many aspects of environmental and social justice matters that don't make the headlines in mainstream newspapers. Reading them helps you to realise how much is going on and how many good ideas there are at a local and global scale.

The Outdoor Philosophy story will focus on the way in which the course used the wild, the sea and kayaking to awaken a passion for the environment, help participants think critically about their values and lifestyles and then plan courses of action in their personal and working lives. Delegates on this first OP course were all graduates of the Forum for the Future's Masters Degree in 'Leadership for Sustainability'.
