Climate Care support the Carbon Cycle

When you consume energy or buy anything that used energy in its making or transporting you are probably releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This is one of the main gases causing global warming. The Carbon Cycle is campaigning to raise awareness of our need to reduce these emissions. Yet, whilst   Kate and Chris will be cycling the length of the Rockies emission free, they will both be flying to North America to make the trip. And flying is the fastest growing source of greenhouse gases!

One way to address this dilemma is to offset the emissions by ensuring that an equal amount of carbon is taken up from the atmosphere (by tree planting for example) or that an investment is made in reducing their emission (by building green energy plants for example). Whilst reducing our carbon debt is a better strategy to help tackle the problem offsetting is a good way to mitigate the consequences of the carbon emissions we still feel we want to produce.

Climate Care are one of the UK's leading offsetting organisations and they are supporting the Carbon Cycle by donating the offsetting of the air flights. In their case the money will be used in developing countries to support projects that reduce carbon emissions. They will also be telling their customers about the Carbon Cycle.

Thank you Climate Care!

You can find out about offsetting by visiting their web site by clicking the logo below. It is easy to arrange a payment to offset all your energy use.
